#MusicMonday - Should Michael Jackson's Songs Just Beat It?

Michael Jackson’s songs have put radio stations all over the world at a crossroads, in regards to the new documentary “Leaving Neverland”. Radio stations specifically in Australia, New Zealand, and Canada have decided to stop playing Michael Jackson songs in an effort to be allies for Michael’s victims of child sexual abuse.

“Leaving Neverland” is an HBO documentary that was recently released in America, featuring two men telling their stories about Michael and how he sexually abused them for years.

Sydney’s Nova Entertainment removed Michael’s songs from their station this past Thursday, along with Australian Radio Network and many other radio stations.

"We aren't deciding whether Michael Jackson is guilty of pedophilia, we're just making sure our radio stations are going to play the music people want to hear," New Zealand’s MediaWorks director of content, Leon Wratt, told Magic FM.

Although many radio stations around the world are removing the King of Pop’s songs from their radio play schedules, many are standing their ground and choosing to not remove his songs from their stations.

Where do you stand on this topic? Do you believe radio stations should stop playing Michael’s music? Or do you think it’s wrong to remove someone’s music from radio play based on an allegation?
