Dear Desolate, It's nice to meet you.

Dear Desolate is a 5-piece metal band from Raleigh, North Carolina. They released their first EP in December 2013 titled 'The Fiction Diary.' This EP featured a total of 4 songs featuring the single “Order 66.” The band followed up their debut EP in 2015 with two singles, “Pulling Teeth” and “Live Free or Die.”

The group consists of Vocalist Chris Walsh, Guitarist Tyler Davis, Guitarist Brandon Garrison, Bassist Jeffy Capozzoli, and Drummer Kristofer Sunico. These guys have a very heavy sound. The first time I listened to them they reminded me of Static-X and Slipknot. (without the masks, ha-ha) Sometimes metal bands can lose the melody in a song by trying to be “heavy,” Dear Desolate has found that balance.

These guys are still unsigned, but I have a feeling that won’t last long. Their newest release “Jessica” is some of their best work to date. I also really like “Pulling Teeth” and “Haunter.” Be sure to check out their Spotify and their YouTube for some new tunes.
