Lizzo Takes the Throne as Queen of Feel Good Anthems

If you're ever feeling down about your appearance, love life, or just having a bad day, Lizzo's new album Cuz I Love You will be sure to cure your blues. Each song off of her 11 song tracklist are all feel good anthems that'll make you dance and love being a woman (or appreciate women). She is all inclusive with lyrics like, "If I'm shinin' everybody gonna shine," from the album's leading single "Juice."

The album opens with the album's title track "Cuz I Love You," a powerful song about becoming in touch with your emotions and your inner self. Lizzo's vocals really shine with her holding long notes and putting emotion and emphasis into each lyric she sings. Each song after is packed with dance beats with Lizzo's raps and vocals to carry each song from one to the other.

Lizzo is an important public figure because she gives plus sized, black women, a group of people the public isn't often privy to see, a platform. She embodies self love and confidence. This is music is for women like Lizzo and the rest of us are lucky enough to watch from the sidelines and dance along.
